Late in the evening on Nov. 15, Kettlestrings Tavern, 800 S. Oak Park Ave. in Oak Park, announced they had made the difficult decision to temporarily cease service on their heated outdoor patio due to rising COVID-19 cases in Chicagoland and the stay at home advisory in the area.

Saying via Facebook:

"While we believe that outdoor dining can be done safely and warmly (well, warm enough), we are not comfortable encouraging you, our friends, to leave your homes given the expanding stay at home advisory."

Kettlestrings has adjusted their hours to reflect peak times for delivery and carryout orders. Owners will reopen the patio when the time is right to do so.
