Hello, my name is Dawn Ferencak.
As Sales Representative and now also Associate Publisher of our sister paper, Austin Weekly News, I am passionate about building connections throughout our community. As a mother and long-time resident of the area, I am even more motivated to support local efforts that improve our lives. That is why we have started Out & About in Oak Park, a weekly print and online focus on all Oak Park and the surrounding communities have to celebrate. The idea to publish a summary and pictures of events I attend began years ago when Out & About in Austin was created in order to highlight all the good on Chicago's West Side.
If you see me at an event in the community, please say hi!
